I’ve got Sam back!! w00t!!!

Well after the time I spent with my Mom’s computer I have found new found respect for my dear Sam. She runs soother than silk and as fast as lightning, makes me almost regret ever wanting a faster computer….almost.

In other events today, I had a job interview. It was with a local store named Video Games Etc. I think what they sell is self explanatory. The interview went really well. I think I might be able to look forward to a job… maybe. The really funny thing is that the guy that did the interview bought his house from my Grandmother. I wrote her down as an alternate contact, and he goes “You know, I bought my house from a woman named Angie Bowen. She was older so probably not her.” I think he was assuming the alternate contact was a parent. I told him “Well that is my grandmother. Was the house on North Algona?” “IT IS! Wow that is really funny! Tell her to come by any time!” I told him I would but I knew that was a bad idea. Gradma tends to be pretty critical and she loved that house. If they did anything that would not be approved by her I’m sure it would not go well. I wont tell her before I know if I got the job. Yet again, small world.

After the interview we headed down to the Quad cities. We stopped at McD’s because my brother hadn’t had lunch yet. He was told to run in and get it as the drive in line was really long. Dad gave him a $10 bill and was told to buy 2 bottles of water, and a “McRoyal” which is the international name for a 1/4 with no cheese, lettuce and tomato, forgot what it is called here. Well he went in after quite a while came back. He had in his hand, his meal, no McRoyal as there is no such thing in the states (he is very litteral sometimes) and two cups of free tap water. Mom and Dad were not happy. Funny enough I asked him to get a Dr. Pepper and he was able to figure out to get Mr. Pibb when there was no Dr. Pepper. Oh how he does amuse me sometimes. 5 minutes later I yelled at him for something stupid.

Then we got down I got my computer all going we had pizza at my cousin’s/Aunt’s/Uncle’s house (we call it the “Jansson’s house”) I went to the library and got myself a Bettendorf library access, now I have access to 4 libraries across Iowa. Got some good Asimov stuff to read too :D. Well I’d best let you people do what you really should be doing instead of reading my blog.
