So “Scott” (who I still don’t know which Scott this commenter is) commented on my last post about World of Warcraft that they wanted to see some screenshots of Teada. Attached to this post are a couple pictures. The first one is one I took today. I just recently went though an area with pirates and I took some loot. Well now Teada looks like a Pirate ARRRRR!!!
The second one is an early one I took that has Teada looking much more mage like.
The last one… well is another early one and I took it on my first night of playing the game. I was walking around an inn. I walked into one of the rooms, and well… you see what I saw. Yeah… slightly disturbing.

Wow, last main page post involved a Star Trek actor here’s another I guess.
James Doohan everyone’s favorite scottish engineer Scotty, passed away today. Apparently he was suffering from both Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. He brought a lot of joy to people who watched Star Trek, and there is almost no one that hasn’t heard “Beam me up Scotty.” James Doohan was honored with a Star on the Hollywood walk of fame in August of 2004. Here’s to you Scotty and James.

Recently, if you didn’t hear, I got a cell phone. Several people asked that I take some pictures. Well I stuck up an album with some pictures of the phone and my previous purchase.

Well the first step to recovery is admitting the problem. I am….. addicted…. to WarCrack.
One day I was minding my own business and I’m at work and a dark figure comes out from the shadows. He says to me “So… you want to try the good stuff?”
I didn’t know what the dark figure meant so I replied “The good stuff?”
“Yeah,” he said “the good stuff. You know what? I like you, here have a 10 day free trial.” That peddler got me hooked and now I can’t stop myself from coming back for more.
Really I’m exaggerating and I can stop any time…. really I can.
Oh and for those of you who are curious, I’m now a 13th level Human Mage. If you play on Azjol-Nerub, I’m Teada. Teada:Tedger::Michele:Michael, yeah my character is female.

Well folks, I’m sorry to say but an era has come to an end. I have officially left the proud ranks of the cell phone holdouts. We are a small and slowly dying demographic, people without mobile phones; now there is one less. Seconds before I posted this I placed an order for a Motorola RAZR V3, along with a Motorola HS850 Bluetooth Headset.

Of course I also had to sign a service contract in blood saying that my immortal soul is now owned by the company or I have to give them money back for the cheap phone price I got. After rebates the phone will be free which is really cool because from the Cingular store it costs $199. I got a modest plan because I don’t think I’ll be attached to my phone by the ear like some people are, but I see myself using it.
For a geek like myself the cool phone and the bluetooth headsets were a must. Wireless is the future and the future is now…. and by now I mean 2 years ago (adjusted technology time: 2 millennia). Give me a break I’m just getting into this cell phone thing. The headset I will be able to use with my Powerbook as a headphone and microphone which is awesome. I’m really looking forward to it all, even if before the rebates my bank account isn’t.
Cellular holdouts stand proud, there isn’t that many people left amongst you, for that you are stronger people than I.
PS: if the Cingular people get a hold of this Christopher Acker at you Jordan Creek Mall location deserves a raise, he’s really awesome.
Update: added pictures of the phone and headset.

If you couldn’t tell already I get a little website statistics happy. Well the other day I added a 5th tab to the top right. The “Stats” tab. The statistics for Tedger.com are now easy to get to and a lot less ugly to look at. They needed some tweaking because I do occasionally put up files that i don’t want google to come across. The tweaking is done, so if you care, enjoy.
On another note visits were down this last month for the first time :( . I blame it only on myself for being such a lazy bum and not posting anything.

Last night I went to Slater, IA. It’s a little town about 10 miles south of Ames of about 1400 people. A couple of my friends found out that they had a fireworks show and that it was supposed to be a good one. I went with them a bit skeptical of how good the fireworks show of a town that’s 10 blocks by 7 blocs at it’s widest dimensions could be but I figured that with the company it would be a good time no matter how good the show.
I have to say that it was one of the best fireworks shows I’ve ever seen. It lasted about twenty minutes and was pretty packed full of fireworks for most of those minutes. On top of that the fireworks were right above us. I mean right above us. They were launched about 100 feet away from where we were sitting and because it was such a small town they weren’t launched very high. It was really awesome. They only do the show every other year, but you can bet that I’m going back in 2007.
