So The Postal Service has their whole “Through hale sleet or snow” thing, well they have nothing on Iowa State. Yesterday an F1 tornado hit campus and classes weren’t even postponed. I missed my first class of the semester, but when the sky turns green that means you go inside (plus I was late and I would have just ended up being late and wet). There was no damage to buildings but trees everywhere were ripped up. 1 person was hospitalized after being hit by falling debris I’m sure the Mary Greeley ER will be far more full with alcohol related issues this weekend (Iowa Vs. Iowa State game is here in Ames GO STATE!).
In Conclusion: ISU 1 Tornado 0

This Last weekend was simply a blast, a blast from the past. Went to a LAN party were I had fun playing some old school multiplayer head-to-head Tetris, Quake 3 Team Arena, and some Battlefield 1942. Really overall a really good evening.

After that on Monday I went canoeing with some friends which also ended up begin really awesome. We rented some canoes from an outdoors place that takes you and the canoes to the river and picks you and the canoes at the end. It made for a really relaxing afternoon. I’ve stuck some pictures up too, the pictures are curtsey of Matt Clancy.
Besides Monday when I went canoeing and Sunday night with the LAN party it was all pretty relaxed and a good break from school, even if it was just a 3 day weekend.

I stuck up some pictures of my apartment. They are just of the living room, kitchen and my room. No one wants to see the bathroom or laundry room anyways so I figured this would be good enough. I’ve got a ton of posters on my wall and I’m feeling lazy so I’m not going to explain what they all are but if you’re curious your more than welcome to ask.
I also moved things around on the picutre pages and moved less recent pictures into an Old Pictures folder. If there was something here before and you don’t see it, look there.

As anyone that visits here with any frequency (the few of you that remain) you will notice that I haven’t been making a lot of changes, improvements or even content additions lately. Most of all that’s because the school year is just starting off and I’m getting started with that but there is another reason… I’ve been working on another website.
I’m relatively new to web development, tedger.com being the first real website that I built from the ground up using pure html and css code. Well today I’m able to say I’ve got two websites under my belt. Although it requires some finishing touches work is pretty much complete on the Harwood House Website. The whole website is designed from the ground up to be created not by a webmaster but by the members of the house itself. I’m pretty happy with it and I’m looking forward to seeing how Harwoodians end up using it :D.
