Yeah… I’m sick…. it sucks…. But on the plus side I finally got the POTW updated. Explanation for the tardiness can be found there.

So I go to HyVee to buy some orange juice, tissues and some low powered florescent 40W equivalent bulbs (really 10W). I go through the self checkout and a HyVee staff member comes and starts bagging my OJ and tissues. She asks if I’m not feeling well and I grumble back a response. Then the lightbulbs go down the belt and she picks them up and looks at them and says to me “Are these supposed to make you feel better?”

I’m really not sure if she was joking or not which is the scary part. She was looking at the admittedly strange looking bulbs in a rather puzzled way. I told her no, I just needed lightbulbs.

Well the last few weeks have been a fantastic drain on my wallet. Books came to about $400 this semester, my recent computer buys and some improvements to my bike have all put a big whole in my summer’s hard gained funds. Oh well, at least I’m working and I should make some of it back on saved gas from the bike investment.

Oh, check back on the bike improvements in the PoTW next week. It’s all queued up (for real this time) and you’ll get to hear about it then. Yeah, I’m a jerk.
