Well the icy grasp of winter appears to released it’s hold on Ames and the grass is green again. Guys are back in shorts and girls are back in shirts probably inappropriate for classes. VEISHEA isn’t far off and I’m looking forward to the parade and the possibility of finally getting a Cherry Pie. Nope never had one, one of my earliest memories might be a VEISHEA parade but I’ve never had a VEISHEA cherry pie.
Spring also means that the Government of the Student body elections have come and gone. With only one executive slate on the ballot the Phillips-Guffy campaign won in probably the lowest turnout I’ve seen at ISU. I’m happy with this however because it means that there will be less of a Greek stranglehold on GSB next year. Rachel was elected for another term as GSB Senator even though she wont be present for her full term of office and my friend Nate Willis was elected to his first full term (he was recently placed on the Senate in order to fill a vacancy).
Ian was asked by now President Elect Phillips to serve on his cabinet, my connections to GSB only seem to grow. Then the other day I have a brief conversation with Mike, one of my roommates with no connection to GSB at all. Apparently Rob, the assistant director of KURE is a friend of Brian (Phillips) and is trying to help fill seats for him. Rob asked Mike if I might be interested and I of course said yes.
I’m now discussing the possibility of serving as GSB’s Director of IT with Brian and right now it sounds like I’ll most likely be sitting on the GSB cabinet next year. The funny thing being that I heard about it in probably the most unlikely of ways.
Spring has sprung and it’s in full swing.
I'm Trevin Ward, I'm a Political Science Student at Iowa State University in Ames, IA.
GSB IT Director eh?? Sounds pretty cool. Hope you enjoy it. It will look good on the resume!

Yeah… add this to the list of the things you did/had earlier than you can remember. You have had cherry pie. Do you think two self respecting Iowa Stater parents would not have gotten you one? As I recall you liked the home made ice cream at Kildee much more… Mom
