Tedger.com

Wooo!!! Tedger.com is three years old!  That’s like 25 in internet years! Or something….  Anyway, three years ago today I registered tedger.com on a lovely warm March afternoon out on the sunny lawn out infront of Lyon Hall.  Unfortunately today is pretty miserable here in Ames but a birthday is a birthday.

I’m a pretty savvy person when it comes to trends on the internet.  I wrote multiple questions for KQ this year involving internet memes, oh Riker and your unhealthy infatuation with 21st girls. Despite this however I’ve been a pretty slow adopter of true Web 2.0.

Recently however I’ve been trying out some Web 2.0 apps and I’m generally enjoying them.  You’ve already seen one Tumblr and you’ve possibly seen one but not even known it.  Starting yesterday I began using Twitter (yes a Web 2.0 app with “er”!).  Twitter is a kind of group chat/status system.  If you’re familiar with Facebook’s status it’s similar but a bit more.   Currently I’m using Twitter to update my status on Facebook and in Adium, we’ll see how it goes.

This isn’t some livejournal so I’m not going all emo, no worries there. I thought it would just be easier if I could tell as many people as possible at once without actually having to talk to anyone.
